Houthoff and Lex Mundi organized 'Investing in Europe Summit 2017' in Beijing

On 9 and 10 November 2017, Houthoff hosted the ‘Investing in Europe Summit 2017’ in Beijing, China, together with Lex Mundi and six other Lex Mundi member firms. These member firms included Noerr LLP from Germany, Gide Loyrette Nouel from France, London team of Faegre Baker Daniels from UK, Arendt & Medernach from Luxembourg, Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners from Russia, and Roschier from Finland.

The topics discussed at the summit included the legal and tax issues of Chinese enterprises' outbound investments in Europe, particularly in cross-border transactions. Approximately 120 participants from Chinese enterprises in various sectors such as energy, banking, investment management, life science and healthcare joined the summit.

Michiel Wesseling and Chantal Presilli gave a presentation on ‘Preferred Investment Structures for Chinese Enterprises’ during the Benelux panel discussion, together with Arendt & Medernach. Marjolein Dieperink and Yang Wan also participated in the summit on behalf of Houthoff.
