Houthoff heeft D-Labs Holding B.V., en haar private equity investeerder Plain Vanilla Investments, bijgestaan bij de verkoop van DDL Diagnostic Laboratory aan ViroClinics Biosciences. DDL Diagnostic Laboratory ontwikkelt geavanceerde moleculaire diagnostische tests voor farmaceutische bedrijven en laboratoria. Het team van Houthoff bestond uit Maurits de Haan, Cherlene Blankson en Jonas Angelier.
