Houthoff advised a development combination of Amvest and Kondor Wessels Vastgoed (part of VolkerWessels) on the acquisition and financing of a former faculty complex of the Delft University of Technology called 'Gele Scheikunde'. Amvest and KWV will redevelop the characteristic, yellow-coloured chemistry complex into approximately 300 homes. In the new plans, the grounds are an important link between the Delft city centre and the university campus. The transaction has a value of EUR 20,100,102.

Together with the VMRG, the branch organization for facades, Houthoff has developed the very first lease-based agreement whereby the facade of a building remains the property of the facade builders after delivery by way of a right of ground lease. A right of ground lease has not been used in such a way before. This means a breakthrough in the circular facade economy.
