Virto Group acquires the remaining part of the Oerlemans Group

Houthoff represented Oerlemans Foods B.V., a H2 Equity Partners portfolio company, in the sale of Oerlemans Foods Waalwijk B.V. and Oerlemans Foods International B.V. (including the latter's Polish subsidiaries). The Oerlemans Group focuses on processing and selling freshly frozen vegetables, fruits and ready-to-eat meals, following the sale of the potatoes division to Lamb Weston/Meijer last year. It has been bought by the Spanish Virto Group, a market leader in the frozen foods industry.

This acquisition will create a global player with more than EUR 400 million in sales and a footprint in the four main European harvest areas – Spain, France, Benelux/Germany and Poland.
