Dirk leidt het arbitrageteam van Houthoff en is gespecialiseerd in complexe vennootschapsrechtelijke en commerciële arbitrages en procesvoering. Een groot gedeelte van zijn praktijk bestaat uit arbitrages en andere geschillen en beslechtingsprocedures met internationale aspecten. Zijn klanten zijn veelal Nederlandse, Amerikaanse en andere internationale ondernemingen. Dirk treedt op als advocaat in nationale en internationale commerciële en investeringsarbitrages onder auspiciën van de ICC, NAI, ICSID en andere institutionele regels, zoals GAFTA, NZV, AVZ and FENEX. Dirk treedt ook op als arbiter in ad hoc en institutionele arbitrages en als raadsheer-plaatsvervanger bij het Hof.
